Securicor Security has cut the price of connecting its small branch offices at airports.

20/04/2004 - Securicor saves with DSL

Securicor Security has cut the price of connecting its small branch offices at airports to its headquarters in Surrey by using digital subscriber lines instead of more expensive leased lines.

About 25 of the 40 Securicor Aviation offices at UK airports are to be connected via a managed IP virtual private network to the company headquarters in Sutton, Surrey.

The network, installed by VPlus Networks, uses an ADSL link from each office securely connected over the Internet to headquarters through the corporate firewall. It allows the offices to receive e-mail and access financial databases and other applications from Securicor Security's main servers.
