The flip side of security is making it easy for employees
to access the company network remotely. If it is difficult
to log-in and use it defeats the object. Remote access should
be available across a wide variety of platforms and devices
including Internet, broadband, 3G and GPRS. This means that
an employee could access applications and data at anytime
from their laptop, PC at home, PDA. Even if they do not have
such devices to hand, they should be able to have complete
access via a web portal from any internet source, such as
at a hotel or airport.
